Lovable vs Bolt: Which One Should You Choose in 2026?

Lovable vs Bolt: Which One Should You Choose in 2026?

Checked September 26, 2026, with both pricing pages set to monthly billing. Based on published pricing, not a hands-on build. Jet Admin publishes this comparison and competes with neither product.

These two land in the same place on the headline: Lovable Pro at €25 a month, Bolt Pro at $25. Close enough that price looks like a tie.

It isn't. Lovable includes unlimited users on its paid plans. Bolt charges $30 per member for Teams. For one person building alone the two are comparable. For three people they are not.

A note on currency. Lovable's pricing page served us euros inclusive of VAT; Bolt's served US dollars. Those aren't directly comparable, and Lovable's US figures will differ. Check your own region before treating €25 and $25 as the same number.

The seat question decides most of this

Lovable prices by the credits a plan includes, not by how many people are in the workspace. Pro and Business both list unlimited users. Business adds per-member credit limits, which is the tell that multiple people working in one account is the expected pattern rather than an edge case.

Bolt's Teams plan is $30 a month per member, each with their own token allotment.

Four people building together: Lovable Pro at €25, or Business at €50 if you want the team controls. Bolt Teams at $120. That's the comparison, and it isn't close.

One person building alone: €25 against $25, near enough a tie, and the decision moves to which tool you prefer.

Credits and tokens are not the same kind of limit

Bolt meters tokens — 1M a month free with a 300K daily cap, 10M a month on Pro with no daily cap. Tokens are a familiar unit if you've used an LLM API, and the daily cap on free is the thing to notice: you can't save up a week of free allowance for one big session.

Lovable meters credits, and the rate depends on how you work. Plan Mode costs 1 credit per message. Default Mode varies with task complexity, with published examples running 0.50 to 1.70 credits. Pro starts at 100 monthly credits, with the price scaling if you select a larger credit bundle.

Both roll unused allowance forward — Lovable on Pro, Bolt for one additional month. That's more generous than most credit models and worth having.

The honest difficulty: neither unit converts into "how many features can I build." A 100-credit Lovable plan and a 10M-token Bolt plan cannot be compared on paper. You find out by building the same small thing on both free tiers, which costs nothing but an afternoon.

What else separates them

Lovable's paid plans carry more team and governance machinery: user roles and permissions, per-member credit limits, removing the Lovable badge and custom domains on Pro; team workspace, role-based access, internal publish, SSO and a security centre on Business. Enterprise adds directory sync (SCIM), audit logs and volume pricing.

Bolt's Pro plan is simpler — remove the daily cap, get 10M tokens, roll the remainder forward. That simplicity is a feature if you're one person who wants to stop thinking about it.

Free tiers differ in shape. Lovable's daily grant of 5 build credits (up to 30 a month) plus 20 Cloud credits suits returning to a project a little at a time. Bolt's 300K daily / 1M monthly suits the same rhythm. Both are genuinely usable for evaluation; neither will carry a real project far.

Which should you choose?

Choose Lovable if more than one person will build, if you want roles, permissions and SSO without an enterprise conversation, or if per-member credit limits solve a real problem for you. Unlimited users at a flat plan price is the strongest structural argument either product makes.

Choose Bolt if you're working alone and prefer a plain token allowance with rollover and no daily cap. Its Pro plan asks less of you to understand.

Try both free tiers on the same task first. Because credits and tokens don't convert, an afternoon of real use tells you more about which allowance stretches further than any pricing page will.

Where Jet Admin fits

Neither is an alternative to Jet Admin, and the overlap is narrow. Both generate an application you then own, host and maintain. Jet Admin builds a running application over a database or API you already have, with no codebase to look after.

The place the question arises is internal tooling. If what you keep prompting for is an admin panel, a support queue or an operations dashboard on data that already exists, the useful question is whether the output needs to be a generated app at all. For a product you ship to customers, both of these do something an application platform doesn't attempt.

Frequently asked questions

Which is cheaper?

For one person, near enough the same — €25 against $25, though currencies and VAT treatment differ. For a team, Lovable, decisively: unlimited users on a flat plan against $30 per member on Bolt Teams.

Do both have free plans?

Yes. Lovable grants 5 build credits daily up to 30 a month plus 20 Cloud credits. Bolt gives 300K tokens a day and 1M a month. Both are evaluation-sized.

Does unused allowance roll over?

On both. Lovable offers credit rollovers on Pro; Bolt rolls tokens forward for one additional month, making them valid for up to two.

How many credits does a task cost on Lovable?

Plan Mode is 1 credit per message. Default Mode varies with complexity, with published examples between 0.50 and 1.70 credits per task.

Which has better team controls?

Lovable. Roles and permissions plus per-member credit limits on Pro; team workspace, role-based access and SSO on Business; SCIM and audit logs on Enterprise.

Can I compare 100 credits against 10M tokens?

Not meaningfully on paper. The units measure different things and neither maps cleanly onto work completed. Build the same small feature on both free tiers and compare what each consumed.

Count the builders first

One builder: try both, pick the one you enjoy, the money is a wash. Two or more: Lovable's unlimited-user plans make the arithmetic straightforward, and Bolt has to win on the product rather than the price.

Then spend an afternoon on each free tier before committing, because the allowances only become comparable once you've spent some.

And if the thing you keep generating is an internal tool on data you already have, build that one against the database directly rather than generating an app to sit on top of it.

What is Jet Admin

Jet Admin is the AI app builder for turning your existing data into real business software — no code required. Describe what you need, and Jet's AI Builder instantly generates the app, connected to your live database or API, with role-based access and audit logs already built in.

Teams use it to build everything from admin panels and internal tools to CRMs, customer portals, and inventory systems — on the data they already have, with no per-seat fees and no migration required.
